Ensure Receipt of Motley Fool Email

From time to time finicky email service providers will direct emails from The Motley Fool into a bulk or spam folder.  You can do a number of things to make sure that our free and premium emails end up in your inbox instead. Just add these addresses to your email client’s “safe senders” list. You’ll need to type them out manually.

Here are some instructions for the most popular email clients:

Outlook

Add the above email addresses to your Safe Senders list

  1. Click ‘Options’ on the ‘Tools’ menu
  2. Go to the ‘Preferences’ tab under ‘E-mail’ and click ‘Junk E-mail’
  3. Go to the ‘Safe Senders’ or ‘Safe Recipients’ tab and click ‘Add’
  4. Enter an email address and click ‘OK’ and then the next one until done

Or if you found our email in your Junk-Email folder

  1. Open the email
  2. Go to ‘Actions’ and click ‘Junk E-mail’
  3. Click ‘Add sender to Safe Senders list’ or ‘Add sender’s domain to Safe Sanders list’

Hotmail

Add our email address to your ‘Safe List’

  1. Click ‘More mail settings’ in the top right hand corner
  2. Under the ‘Junk E-Mail’ heading click ‘Safe and blocked senders’
  3. Click ‘Safe senders’
  4. Enter one of our email addresses into the box titled ‘Sender or domain to mark as safe’ and click the “Add to list” button
  5. Do the same steps for the remaining email addresses

If you have received an email into the ‘Junk E-Mail’ folder

  1. Open the email and click the ‘Mark as safe’ link

Check your ‘Blocked Senders’ list to see if our email address is there

  1. Click “Options” in the top right hand corner
  2. Under the ‘Junk E-Mail’ heading click ‘Safe and blocked senders’
  3. Click ‘Blocked senders’
  4. You may see one of our emails on the list of ‘Blocked Senders’, if so, select the email address and click the ‘Remove from list’ button

Gmail

Add our email addresses to your ‘Contacts’

  1. Click on ‘Gmail’ on the left hand side of the page
  2. Select ‘Contact’ on the ‘Gmail’ drop down menu
  3. Click the ‘add contact’ icon
  4. Enter the details in the correct fields and click ‘Save’
  5. Do the same steps for the remaining email addresses

If you have received an email into the ‘Spam’ folder

  1. Click ‘Spam’ on the left hand side menu
  2. Click on the email title to open the email
  3. Click the ‘not spam’ button just above the email

Yahoo! Mail

Create a filter with our email addresses

  1. Click ‘options’ in the top right hand corner
  2. Choose ‘filters’ and click the ‘Add’ button
  3. Update the ‘Sender’ area  with ‘contains’ and “@foolsubs.com.au” and “@foolcs.com.au”
  4. Click the ‘then deliver the email to the following folder’ drop down menu and choose ‘inbox’
  5. Click the ‘Save’ button
  6. Do the same steps for the remaining email addresses

If you have received an email from us in your ‘Spam’ or ‘Bulk’ folder

  1. Open the email and click the ‘Not Spam’ button

Check your ‘Blocked Addresses’ list to see if our email address is there

  1. Click ‘options’ in the right hand corner
  2. Click ‘Block Addresses’
  3. If one of our emails is there, click on the email and then click the ‘Remove Block’ button.
