The Florida Electric Utility segment refers to Tampa Electric. The Canadian Electric Utilities segment consists Nova Scotia Power Inc. and Emera Newfoundland & Labrador Holdings Inc. The Other Electric Utilities segment includes Emera Maine and Emera Caribbean Incorporated. The Gas Utilities and Infrastructure segment involves Peoples Gas System, New Mexico Gas Company Inc. SeaCoast Gas Transmission LLC; Emera Brunswick Pipeline Company Limited and an equity investment in Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline. The Other segment comprises Emera Energy and corporate holding and financing companies. The company was founded on July 23, 1998 and is headquartered in Halifax, Canada.
